About & methodology

Screen Versus is a free calculator that compares screen sizes visually, true to scale. Every number on this site comes from plain geometry: a screen's width and height follow from its diagonal and aspect ratio (width = d·rw/√(rw²+rh²)), area is width × height, PPI is the diagonal pixel count divided by the diagonal in inches, and viewing distances assume a 30°–40° horizontal viewing angle. All dimensions describe the visible screen area only — bezels and stands vary by model and are not included. Nothing is tracked, nothing is stored, and every calculation runs in your browser.
